Who We Are

JOY is a registered 501(c)(3), non-profit organization providing developmental programs for at risk youth. JOY provides food, clothing, shelter, health and wellness, education, after school programs, special training, mentoring, tutoring, private counseling, summer programs, and guidance to children from the ages of six to eighteen.

Established in 1996 to help those children who were on the streets with no one to turn to for help. The dire situation of many young children was at dangerous levels. JOY stepped in to fulfill a need for children who had no where to go and no one to turn to for help. JOY has blossomed into an organization helping to alleviate the problems of hundreds of children, and finding solutions that work.

Why We Are special

JOY is unique because we help each child according to his or her own needs. Every child has his or her own personality. Just as some children excel at music or sports, and some can read or write well, children's needs are individual as well. JOY's unique program allows each child's own special need, be it food, clothing, medical or education, guidance or special counseling to be addressed individually. Our specially trained staff pinpoint the direction of care needed and expedite the care to a specially designed program on a per case basis.

Community

JOY is involved in helping families in the community. By building strong relationships and encouraging community ties individuals become part of a greater cause. Involvement in community breeds understanding and caring, which in turn eliminates much of the breakdown within families, children and relationships.

Affiliates

Kars-4-Kids™ is one of JOY's affiliates. Kars-4-Kids™ accepts the donation of cars, boats, real estate, estates, and wills. For more information click here.

Public Awareness

Public Awareness leads to informed understanding, giving and involvement. Without the countless volunteers JOY would not be able to perform the overwhelming tasks alone.
