1. What is Joy?  
  JOY is a registered 501(c)(3), non-profit organization providing developmental programs for at risk youth. JOY provides food, clothing, shelter, health and wellness, education, after school programs, special training, mentoring, tutoring, private counseling, summer programs, and guidance to children from the ages of six to eighteen. Established in 1996 to help those children who were on the streets with no one to turn to for help. The dire situation of many young children was at dangerous levels. JOY stepped in to fulfill a need for children who had no where to go and no one to turn to for help. JOY is helping to alleviate the problems of hundreds of children, and to find solutions that work.

2. What kinds of products does Joy accept?  
  Products typically donated through J.O.Y. include computers, computer software, furniture, toys, sports equipment, sports apparel, clothing, shoes, books, educational materials, personal care products, arts and crafts supplies and building and home improvement products. We receive unused merchandise from manufacturers and from retail stores. We accept store returns and some used items if they are in excellent condition. J.O.Y. is not limited by the listing above. 3. What is the process of making donations to Joy?  
  J.O.Y. is flexible in meeting the varied schedules of corporations and industry today. J.O.Y. will work with you to design a convenient program to coordinate with your needs. Whatever the amount of merchandise, whatever the type, we will work with you to assess the options to ensure proper handling. Click here to contact us.

4. If my products are located outside the United States, can Joy help?  
  We can pick up products worldwide, but you'll need to contact us so that we can can verify that we have the ability to pick up products at your location.

5. Who pays the shipping costs?  
  We can pick up your merchandise at no cost to your company, or the shipping costs may be considered as part of your contribution.

6. What kind of organizations receive the donated products?  
  J.O.Y. is an umbrella organization for many tax-exempt charities. They range from small rural or urban local organizations to established charities that are nationally well known.

7. Can you help my company donate products outside its current marketplace?
  In almost every case, J.O.Y. can distribute your merchandise to new locations. This can usually be done by shipping your merchandise to one of our charities located outside the United States. The distribution of your product in various different geographic locations must coordinate with specific needs and situations of each location.

8. Do you provide tax documentation for the donations?  
  Yes. Every time a company makes a donation through J.O.Y., an acknowledgment letter and IRS Form 8283 and/or any other appropriate tax documentation are immediately sent to the designated donor.
